Hi all, was unsure whether to post or not. I’ve had a 4th date for my hybrid mini maze at Sheffield, I’ve known for several weeks but didn’t want to get folks hopes up that this is an option on the NHS. Now with less than 36hr to go I’m starting to believe it might actually happen. I had the pre op 10 days ago, so fingers crossed that it will happened on 4th May got to be there for 7:00 am so it’s an early start for us. I’ll try to write some notes about the experience and post afterwards. I’m pretty anxious but very excited.
Fingers crossed for the 04/05 - Atrial Fibrillati...

I had Dr Sahu for av node ablation. Lovely man. Seen him a few times
I am elated for you! Best wishes for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery!!
I learned Monday that my left superior pulmonary vein is severely stenosed from prior ablations. Who knows which one of the four I had caused it. It certainly explains my coughing, breathlessness, and fatigue when I am in a fib. I had a date for Cox IV mini-maze on June 14, but that is off. I have to have this vein stented. My EP is trying to find a surgeon who has done this more than once or twice. I will be thinking of you the next few days and praying that you have a successful procedure! Please keep us all apprised!
