What’s too much post ablation

Hello everyone, I’m on day 6 post ablation and for the last 3days I’ve been driving locally, not to far and doing gentle walks but not far at all do you think this is to much. I’ve also had some stress from the narc but this is unavoidable, I just have to ignore .

I’m just worried I’m doing too much.

Are you serious? You really shouldn't be driving so soon and have not heeded advice to rest up for the week following ablation. You will end up undoing all the work your EP has done if you do too much too soon.

Are you UK based ?

General advice is do nothing the first week (TV remote only ) Week two you can make tea. Week three start extending gently.

Thank you , well I’ve made tea, walked very slowly for short distance and small stuff in the home but I will take it easier now .

You can easily get lulled into thinking you can do a bit more but don't. Take your time with everything. Let the catheter site heal up first 2/3 weeks- heart takes much longer at least 3 months. Be very careful not to overdo it!

Thank you, the mind still feels like I can run and do everything but yes your right I will take it easy, the things around the house that I do are small things and I am doing everything very slowly.

Driving can cause stress for example traffic jams road rage incidents so stay out of the car for a couple of weeks I suggest. Gentle walk around the block after second week. I understand you feel you need to get out of the house because of the narc but look after yourself and when you feel strong enough sort out your situation. Good luck and do take it easy x

Thank you, I only drive short distances and I’m a calm driver anyway but yes I will take it easy .
