I think most people take their drugs together unless specifically told not to.

only ones to keep clear from my little cache are thyroid drugs

Hi

Taking thyroid pills every morning. 1 hour gap and on empty stomach so I take

my 125mg at 6-7am in morning.

Then 7-8 an for CCB Diltiazem.

Separating CCB & BB Bisoproolol I take 2.5pm at PM.

The NZ Heart Foundation helped me to twink my meds.

Have you had a thyroidectomy? What TSH level do you keep to?

TSH 0.01 function better when that low. As soon as it creeps up to 1 that’s it.

Hi

.01 TSH is TOXIC and you are in SUPPRESSION.

Please get it up to .7 out of suppression as it is hard on the heart for one. Also not good for older folk.

Why so low .. have you had thyroid cancer? And now is it out?

What is your weight?

Take your thyroxin under the tongue which means it goes straight into your blood stream.

My Dr does not guide my TSH, I do. Occasionally I need an extra 25mg on top of my 125mg.

I am nearly 80, have a pacemaker and weigh 64kgs at 5’ 6”. Through choice.

Hi

It sounds as if you have AF due to the TSH suppression. 22 is the high end of normal.

You have a number of other diagnosis.

Tinnitus was with me when anxious but it left me so did the tinnitus.

Hypo or Hyper caused my AF. Then caused the stroke. 4 days later thyroid cancer a shadow on my thyroid.

I refused suppression as I was 70 an older person and I refused RAI Radio Active Iodine.

I take CCB for high H/R Day. It drops it 105beats per minute.Diltiazem 120mg AM and 2.5 Bisoprolol PM for BP. Both for Rhythmn.

Hi

I'm jealous. And you are 80!

I worked and walked all over UK with the Exeter YHA Walking team. In the 90s so I have photos and lots of memories.

I get stuck on elevation due to the AF.

My TSH back in 2013 was 1.9.

I lived in Devon 6 years and there my grand parents lived on both sides Tuck and Jarman.

I worked Dingles, Devon County Council, as a Carer, otherwise I did anything as first 3 years no unemployment.

I felt at home in UK and would go again to visit. I have 'Right of Abode'. Married a Brit in 1969.

Why do you think you are hypo?

Clear of all thyroid cancer since 2020 I am hoping for my heart to rid the AF. I was never given cardiverson or ablation.

Keep well and have a great time.

Here in NZ we are heading for more bad weather but my home is elevated in the Far North and 2 hours from top of North Island. 20 degrees today. But with rain.

Daughter and Son in Law coming to Nz in January. Hiring a motorhome.

I had thyroid problems long before AF. Was controlled by Flecainide for many years but then started having break throughs. Life now is good although hills still need a few rest breaks.

Hi

A good time to travel.

I have a camper and I'm off from September but especially holiday mid January for birthday.

If only two try and get like my camper exWendelh.... German E2000 Madza

as it heats pipe running at back of radiator to Hot Water Cylinder. So hot shower after leaving first day too hot, underfloor heating and hot water. Pump in boot.

Raise boot for shelter and breeze.

I love mine 10 years owner. Its done 220,000kms now. Pull curtains no one knows you are in there. Freedom camping in most towns.

I've been a member 20 years NZMCA. Overseas not allowed now.

Use dump stations for S.C. empty portable pottie.

Order maps or book as AA has stopped producing all maps this year.

Does your daughter have the same trouble as you?

cheers JOY

Hi

I forgot.

I hope that you take the lower 110mg PRADAXA x twice day.

Latest research is to take only low dose of statin 10mg-20mg only.

I refuse statin also it is contra to CCB Diltiazem.

Dreaming of a Back Road holiday in UK. I am well travelled.

Please let me know best places in Cornwall. Staying at B&Bs?

We have rented a cottage in a little village called Ladock. Not far from Truro.

I take 150 x 2 Pradaxa. EP said no need to lower dose yet. Take 20 of Atorvastatin. Mixed feelings about it. Latest research says good for AF and may held against dementia. As my mum and Nan both had dementia that of course is an ever present worry

Hi

Read PRADAXA's DOSAGE.

At 80 take 110mg x twice dose! Read the leaflet instructions inside your box.

But my 80s Dr said 110mg x twice for me and my Triage team said 110mg @ 70 years.

My teeth stopped hurting after and I had more energy.

Please reduce your PRADAXA. Even PRADAXA say so @ 80.

cheers JOY

Hi Ninks. I'm on exactly the same Dab - 150 mg twice a day / Sot 3 times day 80 mg.

No problems whatsoever. Worry not.

Paul

I take both and at the same time with no problem.

There are many online sites to look up drug interactions; however, I'm assuming these were prescribed by your physician, so that would be the person to talk to.

That's a good question and one I have often thought about! But, I shouldn't think so since both drugs likely reach what is called a "steady state" in your bloodstream anyway, so they are, essentially, "mixing" all the time.

A pharmacist is the best source for drug information, nonetheless,

Here's the feedback from the drugs.com website ... drugs.com/interactions-chec...

As others have said, no problems it seems.

HI

PRADAXA IS AN ANTICOAGULANT.

SOTOLOL I think is a BB Beta Blocker which limits Adrenaline into your heart muscles.

You take PRADAXA twice a day. Sotolol not sure but no reason not to take them together.

Follow your GP and Heart Specialist's advise.
