I’m right there with you Jean. Love him and his music. Was so sad he was cheated out of most of his money late in life. Play his music a lot. x

P.s just listened to this version and it was lovely. Thank you Jean. Noticed in the credits at the end the pianist was Jeff Buckley. I love his cover of Hallelujah too.

He had a very shy smile, which I loved. Such a humble man, but very much a ladies one. I heard that even when Marianne went to visit him he was still carrying on with other women while she was there. Mind you he was extremely handsome in his young days. I still loved him when he was old.

I don't usually like people singing others songs, but I think these two girls are exceptional and the different words are so special at this time of year. Yes, it really brings the crucifixion to mind doesn't it and so hauntingly sad.

I saw him in Birmingham in 2013, I suppose he was around 79. He was mesmerising to watch and listen to. One of the highlights of my life I think.
