I saw the cardio the other day, yearly check up, said hearts stable, but I’ve had a swollen leg above my ankle a few years but it’s defiantly got worse, the compression stocking the doc gave make it worse and the cardio confirmed they would and said it’s not vein it’s lymphedema bilateral., I should have asked more questions but I was more concerned on understanding all the heart stuff….she said my leg nothing can be done, cept massage….of course I’ve googled it on coming home as we all do and it has worried me as it says it will get worse….has anyone had this problem from their heart problems? I really am confused.
I’m off to doc to ask him, but it’s so blooming hard doing everything in French and getting all the medical terms .

Sorry to hear this Sue. I don't know if you mostly use a PC like me, but I was interested to see at the side of your post all the other members posts listed on this forum who have had swollen legs. Have you read them, there may be an answer for you there?
No personal experience but a freind of my wife's has had it for years. It is not in any way related to AF but a quite seperate issue and as your cardio says is pretty much a done deal.
20 years ago now Professor Mark Whitely picked up the DVT my GP missed and has since gone on to open and develop his large private clinic on all vein issues with a world wide reputation. Of course, it depends on the individual doctor you see but the back-up resources are there and I would go back if I needed advice.
