My GP just prescribed this for my headaches but have read some nasty things about it online. Does anyone on here have any experience with this drug? Thanks

I have taken Sumatritan if and when I need them, in my case the headaches are down to certain foods and drinks that contain Tyramine and chemicals that we are not always aware of. Sumatritan works for me which over the counter pain killers in my case do absolutely nothing and [no] I've not become addicted or had any bad reactions.

I use the intra nasal 20 MG inhalers at the first sign of aura preceeding migraine and have found them 100% effective without side effects. etheral

I was prescribed these for ocular migraine and they work well. Not noticed any side effects and only use them at the first sign of the kaleidoscope colours in eyes.

I used to have the self inject one’s years ago as for some reason the nasal spray didn’t work - with age migraines got less severe so don’t need such an aggressive approach

I've taken this drug for years with no side effects. I get migraines less often now but if I get one, half of a tablet will work for me.

My husband has the injectable sumatriptan for his cluster migraines ( also known as suicide headaches as so bad) … the tablets & nasal sprays took too long to work. The injections have been a total game changer, best thing ever .

Unfortunately my 19 year old daughter is now getting migraines & has begun sumatriptan tablets, they work well, although they do knock her out a bit but the pain goes so she doesn’t mind.

All the best .

I take a pill at the first sign of migraine, the aura beginning, and it usually allays the worst of things. No side effects. Good luck.
