Erratic blood pressure before and after ablation

I have had high blood pressure for 40 years since I was 30. I'm told it is due to a thin membrane on my kidneys as I don't have high cholesterol and it runs in the family. My blood pressure has always been well controlled and I had been taking 16mg candersartan for years. When I went into AF earlier this year, it plummeted so low that I was admitted to hospital. I was taken off medication but told to take 8mg candersartan if it went about 140. I monitored it daily, some days took no medication, some days 8mg and some days required 16mg. Following my ablation in early October it went up to 165 consistently despite taking 8mg so I requested 16mg again from my GP. It has been around 130 for a few weeks but for the last couple of days has been down to 105 and I feel faint. Does anybody know if erratic blood pressure is normal after an ablation? Am I destined to be monitoring my blood pressure and adjusting my medication for the rest of my life? I've had some fantastic advice and reassurance on this forum, hoping I can get help on this one.

Erratic blood pressure may not be a result of an ablation but for sure most machines are incapable of producing good acccurate results if you are in AF.

What I would say is that for yeasr my BP was in teh 145/90 area with occasional spikes much higher. Doctors these days want it lower so I was put on losartan 20mg which controlled it around 135/75 untill they decied they anted it below 130/70 and added a second drug. Since I lost as stone in weight it dropped and ai deleted the ther drug. These days it sits around 105/65 at which I am comfortable .When it first did that I was like you dizzy and faint but soon returned tio feelung normal once my body acclimatised.
