Head hit

I’m on Eliquis ( recent start) and bumped my head on the brace of a large ladder. Not a horrible hit but now worried about bleed. What to look for?

Others hit head without issue/ worry?

Thank you.

If you are concerned get it checked out but this is NHS guidance

nhs.uk/conditions/subdural-...

Did you lose consciousness or were dazed or was it a bump on the head?

Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for this info.I did not lose consciousness and am not displaying any of the mentioned symptoms.

I understand I need to be vigilant.

This gives me a measure of peace.

Thank you

If in doubt and/or worried, this is not something to ponder. Just go and get yourself checked out at A&E. Busy as they are, there's not one to be had which would judge you for being safer than sorry!

I totally agree with the comments above. I'm sure you'll be ok but make sure you 'play safe'.

Good luck.

Hi , I fell over 2 months ago and smashed my head on the pavement quite badly, blood everywhere , got scan done was ok thankfully , now worried about falling again .if you have no headache etc you should be ok xx

I was on Eliquis when I fainted and hit my head on the pavement no blood or anything. Rang up for advise and was told as I was on Eliquis I must go to A & E which I did and they done a CTScan of my head to check there was no bleed thankfully It was fine. But I clotted again on Eliquis so I am now on Warfarin for life as it was my 3rd unprovoked clot. Its better to be safe than sorry.

My sister had similar issues. Had the Watchman done. God send for her.

Ok. I just googled Watchman and now I understand!

I’m not familiar with watchman?

The heart has a finger tip size appendage that is a dead end. Most AF clots form in it. A Watchman device plugs it preventing clots.

Hi Figbar, I don't suffer from AF but I am on Anticoagulants. I'm sure your fine, just thought this might interest you. Your on the Apixaban so this should reassure you.
