Light headed.

A couple of times this week I have felt light-headed for a few minutes. I do have AF. I take Warfarin and Bisoprolol. I usually feel well. I wonder is this with having AF? I haven't experienced this before. My AF was diagnosed about 4 years ago.

l take Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban and feel light headed now and again. I don’t really understand why and it doesn’t last long.

Hope someone can shed light on your query.

I am on warfarin and bisoprolol and lercanidipine and a week ago I felt light-headed it was a bit scary because I was out for a walk where it was very quiet, my blood pressure was a bit high the week before and I was monitoreing it, I've had all blood tests done all clear and I had my eyes checked my doctor don't seem worried about it, as my blood pressure is back to normal it seems to go up and down so I'm keeping an eye on it, that day was a very mucky kind of day and I guess I was a bit dehydrated, but now I'm almost paranoid going out, but it was only momentarily so I'm kind of glad to see I'm not the only one😀

I had the same thing many years ago, it may be your blood pressure dropping and the way to keep that up a bit more is to drink plenty of water. I'd get a feeling like I was going to pass out, feel the blackness coming over and then suddenly almost on the point of passing out I'd come back to normal.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago, a few days later I tested positive for covid, maybe related maybe not. Jean called out low blood pressure which is another possibility.

I also had this in the earlier phase of Afib when I was on beta blockers. Stopped when I stopped taking them & moved onto a different medication. The other thing to consider would be are you battling a virus? I say this because I felt extremely tired/drained & at times a little light headed recently, no amount of rest relieved it much, I then developed Shingles! Not suggesting you will though.... Just whether your body may be fighting something.

I get transient feelings of this now and again but not for more than a second or so. I have read that AF can cause this in some suffers, so perhaps this is happening with you? My friend has fainted a few times with his AF, which apparently causes him something called postural hypotension, made worse if he misses a meal on time.

It might (or might not) be bisoprolol. In 2017 I was diagnosed and prescribed Bisoprolol. I then suffered regularly with short periods of light headedness which I put down to AF. A year ago I came of Bisoprolol because my pulse rate was low. Since then I have stopped feeling lightheaded. My light headedness may have been due to a slow pulse or it could have been the Bisoprolol. Everyone seems to be different.

Hi

Lightheaded could be a sign of too low Heart Rate or B/P. Or dehydrated. WATER.

What are your credentials? Dose?

I was prescribed Eliquis last year. It did not work for me, I felt so fatigued all the time. My doctor took me off it & prescribed Warfarin. It is better, though I’m still fatigued from the Afib. Every 6 weeks I have to have blood work done, so if needed the amount of Warfarin can be adjusted.

If I stand up suddenly, I do get a little lightheaded for a moment or two. So I try to remember to stand up slowly.

I also have AF and I also had valves replaced 18 years ago I'm also on warfarin and bisoprolol and lercanidipine, and I had the lightheadedness a week ago my blood pressure is up and down and the moment so keeping an eye on it, the day I had it I didn't drink enough water and it was a mocky day, I also had momentarily double vision, and the lightheadedness a little later on, I had an eye check next day so nothing found there and was with GP following day all my blood checks ok doctor isn't worried about it, just watch the blood pressure he said I might need to up dose later on, but at least it's good to know I'm not the only one, take care,🙂
