Most people have no issues but there will always be a minoirty who do. There is a pinned post on the subject if you look. Search pinned posts (on the right ) , see all and scroll down.

Have a look at this post:

healthunlocked.com/afassoci...

Unfortunately some people get a bit hot under the collar when discussing this subject, which doesn't make it appear a welcoming forum to new members. This is a shame as more and more people are experiencing side effects from the vaccine.

It's just showing you where on the forum the covid vaccine has been discussed before.

I looked at your link Jean and found a post not a video. I'm afraid Skull 1's reply illustrates all too well what you say in your post.

Can only speak from my own experience and I have had two pfizer jabs, flu jab and moderna booster jabs with no problems at all.

2x AZ, one Pfizer, one flu jab. No AF.

There is plenty out there but what to believe? There is SO much scare mongering about vaccines it really comes down to do you trust the medics & the vaccine producers - or not?

Been double vaccinated- no problems other than sore arm, had more of reaction with flu vaccine. Still got COVID - was very ill, mostly at home, for 2 weeks. I was taken to hospital with heart issues to be checked but sent home. Still recuperating + 8 weeks.

I go tomorrow for my booster with NO qualms.

Speaking from experience- COVID was far worse, very debilitating as I then had pneumonia which also caused AF to return after being AF free before infection.

Given that all the vaccine producers ( bar Moderna) have paid billions in fines this century alone for scientific fraud and bribing doctors and that the medical regulators in Britain, Europe and North America have only the info provided to them by said companies about the efficacy and safety of the vaccines ( no independant RCTs have been run and observational studies on the real world roll out are a lower standard of proof than properly conducted RCTs ) I find it impossible to trust the manufacturers. As for the doctors ,over and over again they have trusted the manufacturers and dished out the dodgy drugs they have been assured by said manufacturers are safe and efficacious, often to find when the drugs are withdrawn from the market that they have been deceived. I would accuse them not of lack of integrity but of misplaced trust. There has recently been an exposé in the BMJ ( not exactly an anti vaxx site) of something that is being called Pfizergate. Anybody who is interested can Google it.

3 Pfizer jabs, plus flu jab. No issues apart from a sore arm for a couple of days.

I spent time worrying about AFIB and covid vaccines after seeing some scare stories but never worried about the flu jab.? Have a guess what sent me into a episode of AFIB.? Not the covid jabs or booster.!!!😳

I don’t take either.I do take vitamin d3 , multiple vitamin and extra vitamin c. I just bought zinc but haven’t started it yet. I wear an N 95 mask when out and about or around people and I try to social distance . I just don’t trust our government or the pharmaceutical companies. My view and I don’t try to talk people out of the vaccine. It’s my choice.

Jetcat profile image
Jetcat in reply to Glb1948

Fair comment Gib.👍 I personally find it all very strange to be honest. I’m not into conspiracy stuff or things like that. but The whole world went into lockdown then I saw on the news how much cleaner the air/ environment became because of lack of people travelling etc for a few months. Then all of a sudden the reduction of fossil fuels is top of the news list.? Surly we knew about the effects of burning fossil fuels well before covid.? So why now.! There seems to be a massive rush for no fossil fuels use all of a sudden.

I feel the same. I have never tried to persuade any of my friends or family not to be vaccinated. It is their choice. But I really object to people who urge those of us who are sceptical of the vaccines to "get the jab" . I find the current climate where the unvaccinated are treated like lepers and blamed for the continuance of the pandemic totally abhorrent. Even worse is the censorship and branding as "fake news" any dissenting scientific opinions. A good supplement for enhancing the immune system is NAC - N acetyl cysteine. Amazon in America stopped selling it - maybe because it is being investigated by Pharma as a covid treatment/ prophylactic. .

You can still get NAC on iHerb.com … they have free shipping too ( in America)

Three doses of the Moderna plus quadravalent flu for both me and my best-wife... no problems beyond sore arms, and occasionally a strong enough reaction to put us in bed with typical flu symptoms for a day (achy, low fever, etc).

When people ask whether Amioderone is safe to take, we are able to respond with our findings. It affects some people but not others in the same way that Bisoprolol and some other drugs do. We usually have calm "debates" which never end in people throwing their toys yet at the very mention of Covid vaccines, all hell breaks loose! I've just had my third vaccine as I am classed as vulnerable and I have had palpitations since. Is this just a coincidence or was it the vaccine. I am not anti vax otherwise I would never have had any of them but I would like to know whether I should report my findings. All I would like to know for my own peace of mind is how long am I going to suffer with these. Do they go on their own or should I seek help? Some calm advice from a scared woman would be appreciated.

Auriculaire profile image
Auriculaire in reply to Becksagogo

You cannot know from other people's experience how your reaction will proceed as we are all different. Are your palpitations ectopics or turning into runs of afib? Since they are worrying you you should consult your doctor and at the same time report them under the Yellow card scheme. Only if people report their reactions can a proper picture of the vaccine side effects be obtained.

Becksagogo profile image
Becksagogo in reply to Auriculaire

To be honest I am not too sure. I have been taking my blood pressure readings which also give me pulse rate and the pulse rate seems quite steady.

Auriculaire profile image
Auriculaire in reply to Becksagogo

Do your palpitations feel like your heart beating more forcefully then? Or missed beats? Perhaps the only way to check is to get a Holter monitor but I fear that won't be quick.

Becksagogo profile image
Becksagogo in reply to Auriculaire

More forcefully for a while and then it calms down but as soon as I move they start again.

Figbar profile image
Figbar in reply to Becksagogo

Dear Becksagogo;March 17, 12 hours after receiving the Moderna vaccine my heart gave a thud and ectopy began. Monitor first showed frequent PV C’s .. was started on Diltiazam ER daily for hypertension and rate control. Continue that until October 2021 when Kardia noted five episodes of A- fib. Two thus far in November. Awaiting order from cardiologist to begin Flecanide and Eliquis as he reviews ECHO and lab studies. ( it appears Diltiazam elevated blood glucose).

I am not an antivaxxer, am averse to politicizing issues not actually politics, and firmly believe we have choices- including getting or not getting the vaccine.

I will forever question my decision as I now am on this slippery unsure road of a-fib and treatment choices.

This forum and all responses have been so helpful.

Thank you.

Argue about the Covid vaccine, but don't bring the annual flu shot into the discussion. Please get a flu shot.

Skull1 profile image

Lol

Auriculaire profile image
Auriculaire in reply to Camille777

Why? At best the flu jabs are no more than 60% effective and most years they average 40-50%. Some years they can be as little as 30% effective. And that is for the population as a whole. They are even less effective in the elderly. The efficacy starts to wane and by late Feb /early March is down to zero and can even be negative meaning that you are actually more likely to get the flu if you had the jab than if you didn't. 2011 was such a year . They do not protect against ILIs and indeed there is some evidence ( from a study done on veterans in America) that having the flu vaccination makes you more susceptible to catching other respiratory infections including those caused by RSV and corona viruses.

Yes. It reduces the risk of getting a case of COVID requiring hospitalization by 90%.

in reply to JSmith1

How great is the risk of getting a case of COVID requiring hospitalization?

JSmith1 profile image
JSmith1 in reply to

If you are vaccinated, extremely low. If you are unvaccinated, over 70, with heart issues, like most of the folks who peruse this site, there are several million dead people who'd love to talk with you about that.

If only some way to type a question into your phone and get an answer existed....

"... a one in 13,000 chance of a vaccinated person getting a case so severe that hospitalization is required, the news agency said.

Compare that to unvaccinated adults, whose risk of needing hospital care if they contract the new coronavirus is now 17 times that of their vaccinated peers."

"Unvaccinated 35-64 year-olds are

• 5 times more likely to get COVID-19 compared with fully vaccinated 35-64 year-olds.

• 18 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 compared with fully vaccinated 35-64

year-olds.

Unvaccinated 65+ year-olds are

• 4 times more likely to get COVID-19 compared with fully vaccinated 65+ year-olds.

• 9 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 compared with fully vaccinated 65+ year￾olds.

• 9 times more likely to die of COVID-19 compared with fully vaccinated 65+ year-olds."

" Unvaccinated people are about 29 times more likely to be hospitalized with Covid-19 than those who are fully vaccinated, according to a CDC study released Tuesday.

The new study also found that unvaccinated people were nearly five times more likely to be infected with Covid than vaccinated people. "

cnbc.com/2021/08/24/cdc-stu...

"The rate of infection in unvaccinated people is five times the rate of infection in vaccinated people. By the end of the study period, the age-adjusted incidence of Covid-19 among unvaccinated persons was 315.1 per 100,000 people over a seven-day period compared to 63.8 per 100,000 incidence rate among fully vaccinated people. (Age adjustment is a statistical method used so the data are representative of the general population.)

The rate of hospitalization among the vaccinated was 1 per 100,000 people. The age-adjusted hospitalization rate in unvaccinated persons was 29.4 per 100,000.

Older vaccinated people were most vulnerable to serious illness after a breakthrough infection. The median age of vaccinated people who were hospitalized for Covid was 64 years. Among unvaccinated people who were hospitalized, the median age was 49."

Just to be clear … you are counted as vaccinated after 14 days of your second dose …if someone ends up in the hospital or dies from a day after either of their vaccinations up to the 13th day after the second one, they are counted as unvaccinated covid hospitalization or death.. many don’t know this!
