I had my second Ablation today, this was RF with 3D mapping, posh! It was performed at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle under the leadership of Dr Lord, top bloke, Procedure took about two hours where using above gizmo they discovered a path between the right side veins. Discomfort level was very low, in fact it was quite boring laying there. Got to take it easy for a week, no problem there then! I asked that if all goes well, could I go fishing on October 27th no problem he said. So hopefully win win.

Very often folk ask if it’s OK to exercise after an ablation and the Doctors say sure without knowing that the patient’s understanding of training is climbing Everest without a Sherpa so let’s hope this isn’t the sort of fishing you have got in mind? Good to hear that it all went well but please, please bear in mind it can take months for the scar tissue to form and you may experience all sorts of unusual sensations during that period. If you haven’t seen it already, the factsheet below will explain more……take it easy and hope all goes well!
