Hi all have my ablation this afternoon. Trying not to think about it too much. At Castle Hill near Hull and know a good place to have it done, as my Uncle had an emergency one couple of weeks ago (heart beating at 240 a minute!) and he was telling me about it last night.
Will let you all know how it goes on.

Good luck and really hope it works. I had mine in November and although lots of arrhythmias for 4 months it all settled down and all great. Its really worth doing and I am sure all will be fine for you. Be patient over the next few months and look after yourself. All the best.
Good luck Carol, I'm having mine next week at Bart's by Dr Mark Earley. I have found this site to be so supportive and look forward to it being done. That is not to say I'm not anxious, but I also know that is a common procedure and has proved as best a cure as you can get for AF as testified by so many on this site. Take a good book and look forward to that sweet tea and rest after it's all been done.
Good luck .I will be having mine on the 8th July at Harefield Hospital.Very nervous about how i will feel afterwards. To many memories of my OHS last April and feeling so poorly for such along time.I hope it goes well for you.
Good luck carolannkg,It,ll be over with before you know it,get plenty of rest afterwards, don,t rush anything it does take time for things to settle.
Good luck. Hope now you will be feeling better for it. My ablation is booked for 11th July so I hope you will post your progress to reassure all of us soon to go through our own. Take care and rest up xx Cathy
good luck. I found the worst thing about the whole operation was having to lie on your back for hours afterwards. Take some music. Don't text your friends too soon after the operation as the after-effects of the sedation can make some interesting and embarrassing reading.
Glad it all went well. Well done! I'm sure you'll be fine. I think most people have to try not to do too much - you can bounce back and feel very capable, but best to be cautious.
I had mine done at Castle Hill in March, I was amazed when I found that I had been in the Lab for 4 hours, the sedation is marvelous isn't it. My EP was Jane Caldwell. Unfortunately my episodes have continued, more and longer than pre ablation, which I never expected. I am now waiting for my 3 month appointment, but I guess it will be much longer than three months as I have been told there is a backlog. I hope your recovery goes well, it is difficult to not do too much too soon but do your best.
