Is it ok to have the normal flu jab whilst taking Warfarin? I was reading yesterday that if you are taking Warfarin you should have a "deep subcutaneous" vaccination to prevent bleeding. I am booked for a normal one so bit concerned. Help please!

I know eh....Google search..."sore finger" ...15 seconds later "hello Drs office, I'd like to make an urgent appointment, I have terminal cancer of the hand" 😋...sort of like legalese a** covering by pharmaceutical companies..."may cause......." Which to most means won't, but to Googlers, most likely will"

I've taken Warfarin for years and have had no problem with bleeding from vaccines at all.

Totally agree with BobD and others. Been doing it for 12 years.

Could ask a Doctor if you can get hold of one. Where are they ?

My husband has been on Warfarin for years and had his flu jab yesterday...no problem at all...Try not to worry...♥

My mother went to her pharmacy as u usual to have her here last year and was told to go to the doctor - the official line is to not have a usual one, s there is a risk of bleeding. It’s a low risk , and the first time the pharmacy has refused to do it. So - you will probably be okay, but to be completely careful, get the official one.
