Just go into Google play store, type in Fibricheck and it will come up, then download,(if not already done)then it will be there to open in your apps. You don't need to follow this link just go to playstore. I downloaded this last Saturday and it gives everyone a free 24 hour trial.
Just take your blood pressure and you will get a measurement of your pulse … or use an oximeter … it gives your oxygen level as well as your pulse! Who cares to go through all of that trouble just to take your pulse just to sell you something that you won’t use. My take! No way would l fall for that.
Hello Jeanjeannie50, thank you for your enquiry. if you follow the link above, it should send you direct to the fibricheck app where you will find further details on how to gain access to the free ECG. I hope this helps? Please feel free to contact me direct if you have any other issues info@afa.org.uk
If you have an iPhone press the on/off switch on the side simultaneously with the white button below the keyboard. This action will take a photo of whatever you are seeing on your screen at the time and auto save it to photos
£3.49 pm is worth it already. Being able to show my doctor 6 weeks of reports showing significant AFib was occurring was ammunition to get referred on rather than told to ‘soldier’ on😉
I have paid for it bantam12, after my 24hr trial I had a very comprehensive report sent. You can take as many ecg readings as you like in the 24hrs and when you have subscribed. I was happier to do this than pay Kardia every month which I believe others do, and probably at the same cost. I couldn't find any bad reviews
Sorry it is an ECG, Kardia are NOT the only supplier baba. I don't wish to offend but unless you have tried it you won't know. It has been throwing up things going on in my rhythm that I didn't even know existed! I also have an Emay which also records an ECG.
Then there is the problem of dinosaurs like me who detest mobile phones. Mine is only used to satisfy mobile banking regs and for emergencies and is so basic and ancient it is should be steam-driven.
I also can’t get it . It constantly says that QR code is not right. I have tried fibricheck. I have iPhone. Otherwise it suggest £45 .99 a year. Is that correct that we should pay for it.
Thank you to everyone for your comments. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused in trying to access the link. I have updated the post to include a link to fibricheck.app.link/KYP2021 for further instructions on how to access the app. Thank you for your patience and co-operation.
I downloaded it to my android tablet computer. It didn't work. Maybe my camera is not up to scratch.
I then got it on my iPhone and got a reading, with difficulty, need to keep absolutely still for a minute. Got a trace after several attempts.
It did say possible Atrial Fibrillation (AF), I'm in permanent AF. Got heart rate approximately right. The trace was odd no graph, that I can find, looking like a normal ECG.
Kardia is so much easier to use and gives a clearer ECG in my opinion.
It took a while but managed to do it. Like others I kept getting qr code isn’t right and must have tried a dozen times. Was just about to throw my toys out of the pram when I hit the back button. Went back to previous page and it was ready to use?? Don’t know how that happened. X
I downloaded this Ap when I was first diagnosed. It’s very easy to use and you can save each measurement. At a recent consultation with my NHS doc I could show her 2 solid months of daily AFib reports and she ‘agreed’ to refer me to a cardiologist. NHS a long wait she said - so I agreed to her referring me to a private Cardo. I’m not flush with money but what’s more important than keeping your heart beating (normally)
Fair point Re newly sufferers. I pay basic £3.49 pm and it’s been really worth it to show doc continuous AFib and get referral. I can also see how my heart is responding to exercise etc and to slow down if it’s looking too high. Health is worth spending less than the price of a coffee…
It costs just over one hundred for the app, but I have found it very good so far, it gives an algorithm immediate report and you can send that off if necessary to be analysed be a cardiologist, you then get a proper report back with suggestions. You can keep that report to show your doctor or email it. off abnormalities to be checked out. I have found that I have a thing called trigeminy
The iPhone/iWatch combination is expensive, but it works. This trace is labelled Atrial Fibrillation" (click on plus). The pulse rate is irregular - but it looks looked mostly OK to me.
ECG ¿AF?
Hi John I don’t ask for a review by a physician as it costs extra (I’m a Yorkshire lass). I just generate the report that’s available in the Ap which then saves it for me to keep and I can also forward on via email to the doctor or show her when I have a consultation. It keeps them all within the Ap for you to refer/compare.🙂
