Post Ablation day 7

It's been a week since my procedure. The hole on my left leg is no more than a pin prick and the slightly larger wound on the right side has healed without any problems. The bruising has also settled.

I've started walking to the shops around the corner and will be ready to go a little further in the next week or two. I have a lot more energy now that the effects of the operation has worn off and don't feel sleepy in the afternoons any more.

I've had a few random beats on and off during the night over the past couple of nights, but nothing more.

I'm feeling positive and taking each day as it comes.

Good to read but do remember to listen to your body.

Sounds all good, slowly and gradually.

Sounds good Griffin - remember aim to do half of what you think you can do - then do less than that!

That's good news to hear from you Griffin. It sounds like you're being sensible and taking everyday life slowly. Well done.

Good news, remember the old heart has been battered so although u can’t see it, it’s needing time. Isn’t it so nice to be done and dusted, onwards and upwards!Sue

So nice to hear an experience that sounds not as dramatic as some others have.

I think a lot of people who have one successful ablation probably don't know about this forum and don't need further interaction, so what you see here is not indicative of the average procedure and recovery.
