And my last daily blog!!
I am feeling really well.
My heart has been in SR ever since the CA, and I can't remember the last time I had 6 days of normal rhythm.
I reckon I will be climbing Mount Everest by the weekend!!
So any of you out there, go for it.
I was the one who was scared and kept putting the procedure off and here I am now the total opposite.

Stay well sweetheart, been following your daily blog and it as given me some comfort about going in for my procedure......although I am still a teeny weeny bit Scared......who am I trying to kid? , I am bricking it!!!.....lol....
I was for weeks before but suddenly that fear was lifted and I felt very matter of fact.
I am a Christian and knew that so many people were praying for me so I do believe that it was God.
But when you walk down to the ablation room, there are computers and staff everywhere and everyone is laughing and happy and it puts things into perspective. This is an everyday occurrence for them and they are quite happy performing it therefore they must have lots of success.
Also I had a consultant cardiologist ( young enough to be my son!!) who told me that he has performed a lot of ablations and never lost a patient yet or had anyone have a stroke-my biggest fear. All very reassuring.
I'm still glad that I had a general anaesthetic as I didn't know a thing until back on the ward.
So go for it hun, it's all in a day's work for them. Denise. X
I get what you are saying, but having a doctor tell me he'd not lost a patient yet is not what I'd want to hear just before an ablation because it re-iterates that this can be an outcome, all be it, a very row risk one. Alvin Lee springs to mind

great to hear this news. I sadly am the polar opposite 7 days post ablation and had AF every day. I am due to see my EP on 3rd May so I am noting all the occurrences.
Don't be too disheartened, Andrew. I had a few days of AF post ablation in December and then it stopped at about 10 days. I don't think it's uncommon. Good to be seeing your EP so soon.

How do you feel in yourself? Or is the afib affecting you badly?
I'm fine apart from being a bit breathless when I do anything.
I must be one of the lucky ones ( so far ) as I was expecting some arrhythmia but nothing yet.

That's such good news so glad it's working so far and like you I have so much respect for LGI and the cardiology department there I had to go yesterday re pacemaker lead had moved and they certainly know how to put you at ease and never make you feel a nuisance worrier. Great cardiology department !
Thank you for posting this, I am going in for my first ablation on Friday and am so nervous, undoubtedly questioning whether it is the right thing but fingers crossed it will work and I do as well as you. Thank you for your updates. x
Hi Steff, you sound just like I was. Even up to the day before I was thinking of crying off, but I'm so glad that I didn't.
Today is day 12 post ablation and I'm fine.
I feel like a new woman. Apart from the odd ectopic beat ( and we're talking a total of about 4 today ) , not worth even thinking about, I'm driving and shopping and I'm going to start having my grandchildren overnight again from next week, so even if the AF came back, I wouldn't hesitate having a 2nd ablation.
Are you having a general or sedation? Either way you will sail through it and I expect to see your post CA blog after.
Will be thinking of you, and you are in the safest hands and the safest place, just remember that, keep holding that thought. Xx
Thank you so much, that means an awful lot. I have been told it will be sedation and local which is panicking me in itself. I know I am doing the right thing, I am 44 and not able (probably more in my head than anything else) to exercise like I would like to and have put on weight so it is having an impact on my life so enough is enough. Less than 24 hours to go now and within 36 hopefully it will be over and done with. I will let you know how I get on and thank you for your support. x

I had a GA but everyone on here that has had it under sedation has said they were away with the fairies and don't remember anything so hold onto that thought.
