My wife has just had a fascinating morning with Amazon as we received 6 e mails yesterday asking for these to be returned as it has been found they only have 5% instead of 95% efficacy as found in Iceland - the country not the shop. I just want to let you know that you can contact Amazon customer services and get a refund for these without having to return them and go out to the post office and put yourself at risk - as you will find they will not give a return label as they are personal items - though to my mind they could have attached a return label to every order number to do this as the e mails were sent out with individual order numbers on them - of course they were automated e mails. My wife wondered if they needed to be returned as stated in the emails as they needed to be tested etc but evidently not. So rather than worry about posting these back if any of you have bought these from Amazon contact customer services. I don't know if other retailers have recalled them but presume they will. If I can I shall post the notice on here later.
Its a shame because they were really comfortable too. We have ordered more of a different make and hope we are not in the same position a few months down the line again!

I'm always a little weary about buying health products from either Amazon or eBay.
I think your pharmacist is the best way forward to do this. There's a bit of difference between 5% and 95% efficiency - to put it mildly. Send 'em back and get a return.
Been there and got the tee-shirt. It's very rare I've ever bought such products online and they work.
Just on a lighter note. I need a dual sim phone - one English and the the other for Bulgaria. You can't buy them in the UK. I went though eBay (and Amazon) where you can buy them.
For some reason can’t post reply so using my wife’s HealthUnlocked! These were bought for use in garden by my wife as it was impossible to get disposable FFP2 FFP3 at the start of the pandemic and when she could find any the had gone up in price by 6 times and within a month 20 times. These actually haven’t been used. Only tried for comfort as a friend who is a pharmacist managed to get some disposable FFP3 masks and now we can buy them at a reasonable price. They did have all relevant certification and were re called because a test was done on some in Iceland and from what I can find in the recall letter only a few were found to be defective so all were recalled.
My wife has aspergillosis and an aspergillus rumour in her left lung. It is being treated with anti fungal medication and has actually shrunk in the last 6 years since treatment began. Compost is the prime suspect for the cause of this so her professor at the National Aspergillosis Centre at Wythenshawe hospital has recommended the use of masks either FFP2 or FFP3 grade when working in the garden with compost.
Thank you. That must be very distressing. Antifungals over a long period must be hard. I hope she continues to improve. I bet like me she is a gardening addict who doesn't let problems get in the way of gardening!
Thank you Des - I'm like Paul - on crook watch when looking at Amazon for certain items. I have bought some good masks from Lloyds online pharmacy but haven't reused them as I'm rarely out anywhere. They are Purify FFP2 and they have a buy one pack get one free at the moment - which works out at £29 for 20.
That’s a good price but as I said we couldn’t get any at the start of the pandemic so bought these incase that situation lasted for too long when my wife needed them for gardening.
I made all ours. They're very pretty as there is no reason to stick to boring blue or black. some of mine are pink with monkeys, others purple with gingerbread men, with many other options. All machine washable and reusable as I am conscious that all the single use masks will go to landfill or litter the pavement.
They probably are not hugely efficient but we are only obliged to wear a face covering not a surgical mask.
