Sometimes Flecainide seems difficult to swallow, even though I take at least 8 big swallows of water with it, and it will end up stuck somewhere in my throat, dissolving! Yes, then I do more big swallows of water to try and get it down! Thankfully, someone here posted that honey helps! Tonight, the Flecainide got stuck, but I remembered the tip about taking some honey, and like magic, the Flecainide went down and the honey was tasty, too! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Doggiemomma - Glad it worked for you Doggiemomma - it's awful trying to get dry unbuffered tablets down. Recently I had a problem with Flecainide too and in the thread someone advised me to use yoghurt.
So a great thank you from me too - the yoghurt worked perfectly too - and it's not as messy as slurping honey.
I use the yogurt - suggested in Myasthenia workshop as our Bulbar muscles often don’t work properly so tablets sometimes get stuck - often the tiny ones!
I pop three or four sultanas in my mouth, chew lightly, which makes my mouth water a little, add the flecainide pill then swallow the lot all together. I keep a small pot of sultanas next to the pill box. Works well if you’re out somewhere and not near yoghurt, honey or water. I tried this when I ran out of apple sauce, a tip from on here also which was very useful.
My Mum had Parkinson's Disease and often found it difficult to take tablets with water. The Parkinson's nurse suggested taking with a spoonful of yogurt - check that all tablets are not affected by dairy as some are but it is a good tip.
