Just unlucky !

I finally got vaccine last week , my daughter went back to school Monday and got a call yesterday to say she’s tested positive . Week before she was negative. We have all tested positive today in the household. I’m just hoping and praying I’ve got a little help from the vaccine to keep me ok and my little ticker behaves.

I anticipated so much about the vaccine, I eventually get it done and then I succumb to covid !

Just not enough time for it to take effect unfortunately.

I have a friend who is a paediatrician and she said they used to give children the measles vaccine when they had been diagnosed with measles and they had a much milder case of it. I hope this may be the same fir you. Also heard there is anecdotal evidence vaccine is helping those with long Covid so think it’s very likely it will help you. Take care abd all the best

Sorry to hear this. I hope you'll be one of the people that have no covid symptoms. Also believe these tests can sometimes be wrong . Fingers crossed for you. Please let us know how you progress. Jean

Sorry to hear this. I hope you and your family come through this unscathed and the vaccine offers some protection. Keep us updated. Good luck and best wishes.

Someone has tested a papaya, and it has turned out to be positive! Everyone, who has ever had the flu, can test positive (the test does not detect directly Covid-19 virus, which, BTW, has never been isolated, but the viruses from Corona group, where there are plenty of them)...

Not everybody is told to be positive, the results are obviously adjusted according to needs... In my country, people refuse the vaccines, so now the numbers in the media are sky rocketing. We are, quite unnecessarily, informed abut the frightening numbers in all surrounding countries, including Crocodile islands, lol.

Sorry to hear you’ve all tested positive, I’m sure you’ll be fine. I tested positive on a routine test (I’m a carer) and was under the weather for about 8 days. None of the testable symptoms until I lost my sense of smell and taste. Symptoms I had were headache, nasal congestion, sneezing and a little lightheaded. This was just over a month after being in hospital for a heart procedure!

Thank you. It was back after 4 days, was definitely down to the virus.

I appreciate the suggestion but I’ll give it a miss, I’ve never had anything to support my already good immune system, I’m rarely ill.

That is unlucky. Hope your daughter doesn't have a bad time with Covid. They say the younger you are the milder the symptoms but in our family where my sister of 68 had it and all her children and grandchildren save a couple of them - who of course may have had it but had no symptoms, the two who were hospitalised were 22 and 25. Her 50 year old daughter is suffering with long covid too whereas my sister seems fine 6 weeks after being ill. Hope you keep well and your ticker keeps ticking in time.

It’s all very strange how everyone is different isn’t it. She is unwell at the minute she’s 16 so hoping she brushes it off. I’m ok just a tickly cough starting.

I'm so sorry to read this - it must be a worry for you. I hope you all recover well - my theory is that the vaccine starts working on the immune system quite quickly so you may have some immunity already even after only a week. Best wishes and let us know how things go.
