So I had a PVI ablation approx. a year ago as my heart was in constant AF though not rapid. My heart was still in AF but about 5 months after the op. my heart went into normal sinus rhythm. Since that point I had probably monthly bouts of AF which lasted 12-36 hours. Since December I have had none. Is this normal? I take Flecainide 50mg twice a day. I run 4 times a week totalling about 30miles. Running sometimes triggered AF but not now. Could this be the end????

As we explain in our fact sheet on recovery heartrhythmalliance.org/res... it can take up to a year for full recovery although that is unusual.
Enjoy the moment.
Have you changed your diet at all? Think hard because I know that certain additives to food, or drink, can be a trigger for AF. It took me years to discover artificial additives, especially sweeteners could trigger mine. What has changed since December for you? Lockdown and a quieter lifestyle? Fingers crossed you stay AF free now.

Took over a year before I was free of any little bumps etc, about right I'd say 👌
