Residing in Australia I am yet to be offered any vaccine. I believe main vaccine to be made available will be AstraVeneca. Reported in media for several European countries re side effects( blood clots). Has there been much reporting in U.K. Media in regards to this. I have been following the several post re side effects posted on AF site forum. Has there been more recent data reported?

Cheers

Cam

There will always be reports even if the incidence is very small . The critics will always be more vociferous . Until I see peer reviewed data I think it too early to judge but for sure Covid kills more people than ever the vaccine may. I know what risks I prefer to take.

Am 80 yo male have been on Apixaban for AF for 3 years; during this time have had 5 Covid jabs: mixture of Pfizer, Moderna and Pasteur; no obvious ill-effects; had a dose of Covid about 7 months ago but relatively light. Thought that the anti-coagulant was a good propylactic for blood clotting associated with Covid.

I had 2 vaccines of astra zenica, which both resulted in loss of voice for couple months and my second booster of Pfizer last May ended up with me having LBBB and then AF since January been in permanent AF, waiting for cardioversion to hopefully kick it back into NSR. Drs at first skeptical it was vaccine but now coming to conclusion it is more than likely this did it as no previous heart problems at all, now get pulse of between 40- 130 during day

This is very interesting. I did not suffer from Afib until I started having the vaccines. Initially only periodically but then after the 2nd booster at the end of October 22, I went into permanent Afib. I also had a poor injection with this jab and have also endured a problem with my arm with limited movement despite having physiotherapy for several months. Anybody had the same experience?

Thank you for this coverage and accurate information. I was dubious in having another booster, owing to suffering bad side effects, but now realise the risks l would be taking in declining.

I note that video was 3 years ago. How up to date is the information on whether the vaccine actually causes arrhythmias. Immediately after my last pfizer booster in October 22 I developed my first every arrhythmia which lasted for 3 weeks. A holter monitor showed it wasn't AF. ABout 2 months ago I had another extremely bad episode of arrhythmia and was in hospital for 4 days. The diagnosis was extrasystolic arrhythmia which stopped after 3 days and I was told it had almost certainly been caused by the vaccine and was likely to happen again. Because of a bad reaction to diltiazem , that was stopped and I now take nothing and have been told to just wait and see what happens. Naturally it's made me very worried about having another booster. My history is heart attack (NSTEMI) 5 years ago , two stents and no medication other than aspirin and a statin. BP stable at around 129/72.
