3 months and 4 days since ablation

I was woken from a very odd dream at 4,45 this morning, I had been taking the Queen to a theatre and had fallen ill, an ambulance was called and I was being examined because my heart pounding like mad, then I woke up!! Of course I wasn't in an ambulance, but I was in af and my heart was all over the place, with a reading which settled at 140bpm according to my kardia. I suppose I should be thankful that I haven't had an episode since the end of August, although there isn't a day that goes past when I don't get some short rhythm disturbances . Anyway, I took my pip and thankfully it did end after 2 hours. Feeling rather jaded now which I know will last for most of the day!

I have my 3 month ecg check booked for next week and am waiting for a follow up appointment with my EP, which I assume will be over the phone or by video call. I wonder what she'll say?

This seems to be a regular scenario with AF. Waking up in early hours after intense dream and being in AF. How often has this happened with or without dream ? Have you ever woke in the early hours with AF ? In the past pre ablation I used to wake about 5am with AF. Fortunately not often. I doubt there is much to be done unless you take meds at night which might or might not help. Generally not.

Dreaming about the Queen is another thing altogether...

I have woken up with af a few times before but not in the middle of a weird dream like that. Mine would usually start as I'm dropping off to sleep if I got it at night. I was laying on my left side which may not have helped!

It Is the first time I have ever dreamt about the Queen though!

Not sure if you are able to email the Kardia report to the Consultant or his secretary but that would be key for him to know what is going on now and would most definitely help him having it before your check up. I was in a similar situation and they were grateful for the ECG as it saved so much time and uncertainty and changed my meds accordingly. I always appreciate we are all so very different but there are some basic characteristics which stay the same. I have never reached the heights of the Queen but have had dreams when I have meant to be woken up as i'm having an AF episode. Wishing you well.

I must have friends in high places in my dreams! Lol Thank you, yes, I will look into emailing the kardia report to my consultant.

Still healing so this AF episode could just be a blip. Heart still needs more time to heal.
