I have an old Prince heart monitor but it no longer works as well as it should. I am not sure which model of Kardia I ought to buy. Can they be used by more than one person on different phones? It would be quite useful if my husband and I could both use it.
Any advice would be welcome.

I have the older model, I lead which is £90-100, the newer model is 6 lead and £150. I’d have gone for the 6 lead if I could have got it at the time. Maybe those who have a 6 lead could say how they find it.
It is free, but after 3 months some of the application requires a subscription. I and many don’t bother. My records go to iCloud and I email PDF’s to myself. I can still send results to my Consultant.
You don't need an account at all. If you already have any cloud storage (Google, Dropbox, Amazon, whatever) you can save all your recordings easily there. The instructions say 'email' which is misleading. Just save them to the cloud and then they can be used on any of your devices, and will be available if you subsequently wish to email them. The latest version of the app also lets you save them to the device you've used to record them, but I've never used that and I don't know how accessible they are that way.
A word of warning though. The older single lead (two contacts) one used to use ultrasound to communicate with the phone or tablet, and this didn't seem to work well with newer up market phones due to some microphone filtering or noise correction in use. Of the four phones I've owned while I've had a Kardia, only the most recent (OnePlus 5T) has this problem. The six lead version uses Bluetooth, but I have no experience of that.
Both my husband and I use the same machine - it’s the account that’s unique to you. You can use any Kardia machine on your account. It’s a great invention - thanks to Dr Dave.
Highly recommend the basic Kardia ( £99 ) , you have to register an account but no charge, the only charge is if you wish one of their specialists to give you a response to an ECG. My machine convinced my Cardiologistic that I needed a 3rd ablation, something that might have not happened, as when I was in hospital the AF episode had turned into Flutter.
yes! and several folk on your phone. The simplest tiny one is great for me.
Thanks everyone. I think I will go ahead and get the smaller one. I have been having a few problems over the last week or so, flipping between AF and SVT. It will be interesting to see what’s going on. Blood pressure all over the place. Still awaiting RF ablation.
