Following my post about passing out when reverting to NSR I had a pacemaker fitted yesterday and all went well. Thanks to everyone who replied and for all the good advice given.

Need may have played a larger part than luck but so pleased you have a resolution. PM made such a difference to how I felt and hope that once you heal, you will also feel the benefit.

Thanks. I was actually in AF when I had the pacemaker fitted and I reverted to NSR without realising it so that's a good thing.

Hi, that’s wonderful news, and so soon. I am waiting for the same and for the same reason but mine has been put on hold because of Covid and I am really quite anxious about the delay and wonder whenever I will be able to get it done. Whereabouts in the country do you live? So pleased for you. Tricia

I live in Oxfordshire. I hope you will soon be able to get your pacemaker fitted and wish you well.

Hmm, well I can’t see me managing to get to Oxfordshire NHS, but had you said Bristol for example, then I might have stood a chance! I guess I need to start rattling a few cages soon. It’s so scary when you black out, especially when you live alone as I do. Thanks for your reply. Tricia

I sympathise as I know what it's like to black out especially when you are on your own. My cardiologist was very good and when he knew I had blacked out he said I needed a pacemaker asap and if it happened again to go to hospital and he would do it as an emergency. I hope you can get yours done soon but in the meantime take care.
