I just had my ablation a 1 week ago. I can tell I felt better the moment I woke up. I have been fortunate as I have had almost no discomfort of any kind, a very steady HR that typically is in the 50's/60's----I feel great.
Doing this during the covid outbreak was a concern and add's to the anxiety of it. I found it to be a unique experience as the hospitals are very quiet and far less people moving about.
What I have learned is the procedure itself was not as "scary" as I thought it would be that in the end we are trying to better ourselves and this is one step towards that. I am only a week in but it has been a smooth quiet week and I am feeling good.

Great. Rest and remember it can take 6 months for healing. So no strenuous exercise. I had mine 2013 and still fine.
Well done on the ablation, I am on the list for one, nervous but hoping as my AF is fairly well controlled and a zero Chadvasc score that it wont be too unpleasant
Thanks All for the kind words and information. I know I need to take it easy, I have not done much been to the store a couple of times and am working from home just making calls.
I wanted to share my experience to this point as short as it has been. One of the reasons is when I was considering ablation I seemed to read more about the those who had a less positive experience.
I think it is most important that most of what we read here are just a nugget of what one goes though and while it is great to hear from others, it does not mean whatever happened to them will be the same for you.
I was scheduled for an Ablation in October and I passed completely of my own choosing but I do think some of the reading I did influenced or at least made me mindful to take a step back.
Again only week in but I felt better the moment I opened my eyes. I do not know if it is my imagination or telling myself but I think I feel better than even when I was in NSR prior. I just feel more solid.
