Update

Hello to all, thought I would give you an update on my progress after he last couple of weeks. After having three severe A/F sessions in one week and one really bad one, been back to Docs again she is not sure if I have heart failure but to continue taking the Ramipril which has given me a bit more energy. Good news is at last being referred to a cardiologist to try and discover why I am having these episodes after being so good for years. She also advised that if I have any more where I am gasping for air to dial 999, wish I had done so before. Unfortunately because of all the problems coinciding with a heavy cold, plus calling an ambulance for my husband with severe stomach pains I have got into a state of anxiety, now taking Diazepam for a short while to ease my fears.

Thanks for bringing us up to date. Don’t know why, but I thought you was a fella!! Clearly still a few things for you both to resolve but maybe with spring just around the corner and opportunities for proper professional advice, improvements will soon follow.......all the best and hope hubby improves soon too.

Thank you flap jack, I am definitely a female, had the offspring to prove it.

I feel a bit more positive now, apart from the anxiety.

I imagine you will now be more content to dial 999 should the need arise (which it won’t!!!) but if you have any doubts, try 111 first because more than likely they will make the call on your behalf.....the important thing is that you get the help you need!
