Usually a guest speaker ranging from Surgeons and Paramedics to Researchers and Pharmacists.
A way to meet others, with similar medical conditions and discuss them in ways we understand and can relate to, over tea/coffee and biscuits.
The Support group is run by Arrhythmia Nurse Specialists and volunteers.
Best thing I ever did to be relaxed about living with AF was join this support group.

Fantastic news, RosyG set up the Surrey AF Support Group way back in June 2014 and it has proved to be a fantastic way of keeping people informed and helping them to live with the condition.
I hope Sheffield does well.......all the best.
If there is anything we can do to help, just contact RosyG or yours truly.
Morning Flapjack and happy new year to you. The Sheffield group has been running for many years probably heading to ten years. The arrhythmia nurse who runs it regularly speaks at the patients day for arrhythmia alliance in Birmingham.
I am not sure if Sheffield liaise with others starting up groups but it's an excellent resource for anyone starting a new group with their years of experience. Perhaps it might be an idea if there was a national network of support groups set up to share good practice or there may already be such a thing.
