Finally out of hospital

Finally out of hospital. The staff were really good though, I mean they are like angels there for you to make sure you're ok and for that I am grateful. I spent xmas eve having an angiogram and it hurt like h*ll in my arm and doc said my arteries were narrow and apparently this is a "complication" sometimes during the procedure and why it was so painful for me. Felt horrendous afterwards but then recovered pretty quickly, felt a lot better around 4 hours later. They didn't find any blockages. So next steps are an MRI, and then a LOOP inserted into my chest to monitor my heart rhythm.

Hope everyone had a good xmas and thanks for your kind messages x

That’s good news - hope you feel better soon. Bit of a scare you had so take it easy now for a while.

Poor you! I have also been through the 'heart attack' scenario though fortunately not over Christmas. They didn't even try my arm as I have very small blood vessels. My pain was put down to artery spasm in response to crazy fast heartbeat. I hope you get a helpful answer soon.

Yesterday I started watching Gareth Malone on TV, setting up a Christmas concert in hospital, very heartwarming. Best wishes 💜

Getting home is great medicine dani and it’s good news that no blockages were found. Best wishes.

Big sympathy Dani as I had one a few years ago and I no longer have a pulse in my right wrist due to scaring in the artery. The good news (like mine) is that you don't need any stents so all in all a positive result. Well done.

I had the same problem and had to have surgery to tie off the radial artery about nine months later.

Why? My hand works fine supplied by the brachial artery but just gets cold in winter and easliy cramps when I am doing hand machine work. There is apparently still some blood passing .

My hand works fine too. Sometimes the blood vessels in the back of my hand are more prominent. Also gets tingly if I hold a phone to my ear for a while with that arm. Apparently, there was a huge clot formed and the radial artery broke away. The surgeon was hoping to rejoin the artery, but one half had pinged up my arm. Vascular surgeon said never to allow needles in that arm. He said it was a false aneurysm caused by the angiogram

Glad you are out💜
