Thanks @drdave01.
Thank you Kaz . ..very interesting . As you probably know Dr Dave has popped up on our forum from time to time over the last few years giving advice re the Kardia device. I am a great fan of the Kardia and look forward to getting the 6 lead one when or becomes available in UK
Interesting read, I think I may soon update my kardia to the latest model but I'll wait til the battery runs out first! 😀
Thanks for posting Kaz, very interesting - and huge thanks to Hidden - I hope you know just how this invention has helped so many!
I am still using my original Kardia - circa 2013 - which was a cover for smartphone. I was so upset with Apple when they started changing the iPhone sizes and held off buying a new one until at Patient Day one of the people on the Kardia stand showed me how it worked through the microphone - so I am still using it today - very ragged around the edges now so I think I will be ordering the new one!
About 4 years ago I was seated at a dinner next to a very lovely lady in her late 80’s who told me she had AF. She was a little concerned so I showed her my Kardia - she was so interested and thought it amazing. (she wasn’t in AF which she found reassuring) It turned out that her husband had been a cardiologist involved in implanting the first PMs in the UK!
I like my Medtronics implant(gives me serious peace of mind knowing my EP is always informed). I have thought about using Kardia, interesting read.
As I take Sotalol and the new Kardia measures the QT interval, I am going to get the new 6 lead version.
Very interesting article - thanks for posting it- I tried to "like" it but the icon just kept going to "unlike" so I am writing to say thank you instead!
