Does anyone take a low dose of digoxin daily to prevent AF? It was described by the A&E doctor following my first post ablation AF. I had gone 3 years plus without AF.
In the notes with the digoxin it states lowers heart rate. Mine is normally 58/62 so I don't want it any lower. I still haven't started the digoxin but if it helps the heart in some other way I obviously want to do so. Does anyone take it daily.
My blood pressure is extremely high since the AF session and wonder if it will help that. I am on losartan, amlodopine, inhalers for asthma, plus tegretol for trigeminal neuralgia.
I thought I had posted this but may have pushed the wrong button😂

Hi, I took this as prescribed by Dr Jones (Harefield) after a failed cardioversion when my HR was constantly 120/130. After a few weeks HR was flipping between 45 and 120 so I think this does lower rate. Can you check it out with your GP.
