It has been since April over six months ago that I had my cryo-ablation and I had not reported my experience for fear of having a poor result. A reoccurrence of arrhythmia I was told can happen and only 70% successful, I am very pleased to report that to the group I am arrhythmia free. I have not had one episode since undergoing Ablation surgery. I consider myself very fortunate because a tennis friend has experienced problems with arrhythmia and has told me his arrhythmia is occurring at a higher rate than before his ablation procedure. I am aware arrhythmia could return at any time but so far so good. The only negative is I did not expect my fitness level to be so difficult to return to.

Good news is always welcome. Sadly nobody expects to take so long to recover from ablation which is why we produced our fact sheet on the subject. Six months seem average unless you happen to be a 20 something athlete and many people are still improving at nine months or a year. Well done.
Can’t add to BobD’s reply, but nicknames intrigue me....do you own a Bugatti? If yes, Bob will be your friend for life!
Good to hear that things have gone well for you....
Interested to know in what ways you have found your fitness difficult to return to? It looks like I am heading on a simular trajectory with an ablation forecast for the newyear. Currently stable with the meds and able to exercise at a some what reduced rate to last years heroics.
My recovery from vigorous exercise was slow at first. My favorite cardio is running up and down stairs, stationery bike and lifting weights with intensity and short breaks, 8 to 10 seconds. As well as tennis, I play all year around almost every day. Good luck, windy!
Thanks for that, a few years of endeavouring to become the next Tour de France winner has it seems lead to my undoing, in all honesty at 60 years old this was a bit of a big ask! Since diagnoses I have taken a much more endurance (read kind to my heart) approach, keeping my heart rate at a lower level and using like yourself stationary equipment in the main along with a heartrate strap and monitor to keep my enthusiasum in check. Interesting times ahead.
I believe any goal can be reached. But Tour de France has mountains to climb over!
What are the symptoms of untreated arrhythmia..I'm just curious because my doctor is referring me to cardiologist to do heart holter for 24hrs next week... I was just curious because I suffer with severe anxiety but been feeling dizzy , lightheaded for the past year but after echo and stress test and alot of other test they didnt find anything ..so they labeled me with anxiety. But my new doctor says he wants to run a heart holter just so we can say they did that test to..anyways what was your experience or anyone's experience before diagnose
I only experienced arrhythmia in the last 15 years while resting with two exceptions, but both times it landed me in the hospital emergency room. I hope that helps, Quich.
