Hi Barry and welcome. Have you got a diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation. Sometimes people post on here who haven't so it would help to know a bit more about what's causing your breathlessness.

Hello Bazzar. Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? Do you have a diagnosis of heart failure or atrial fibrilation? Are you UK based?

Hello Barry and welcome to the forum. It’s always difficult for us to give helpful responses to questions which are a bit light on content. I checked your profile and I saw references to diabetes, heart failure and weight loss which are all issues which can cause severe breathlessness. Asthma, COPD and of course, AF can all contribute to breathlessness so please provide us with some more information so that we can at least try and help you......

Hi Barry. Carol asked me to check your post and explained why you posted here. I really think you need to go and bang some desks at your GP's and get a referral to a chest or cardiac consultant to investigate your problems. If things get too bad then go to A and E and present yourself and they will have to at least examine you.

Hi Barry, I completely understand what you are talking about, I had my first major crisis with afib 6 months ago and since then I struggle for every breath, I had an ablation believing that would help but it did not, I've since seen a neurologist, pulmonologist, rhumatologist, allergist, 3 different cardiologists, and had my house checked for mold.... No solid answers but I believe it has to do with mold and that the mold contributed to my afib, no proof except when I leave to go on vacation I dont have it after being gone a few days. I also was told it could be caused by Generalized anxiety disorder which would have exasperated when I went to the hospital with my HR in the 200's... I was also asked if I had a flu shot by my cardiologist, I guess it's possible that it could cause the breathlessness. I hope you get it figured out and if you do please let me know? Look at my profile in here, most questions are about breathlessness and I truly have no solid answer. Mine is worse when sitting and better when I am moving around and about slowly.. Try to stay calm because panicking will make it worse.. good luck and please let me know what you find out 🤔
