Stress and Anxiety
Thanks for posting Sue, all these tools I believe are very helpful particularly if like me you have vagally mediated PAF. As one person commented here the Mind is stronger than the body and I believe with more focus on that aspect in a way that helps the individual (e.g. in your case the book) can contribute significantly to keeping AF away. I am just starting to work on this and its early days but promising signs.
Totally agree with secondtry . I am very susceptible to the vagaries of my mind and am fascinated by the various strategems that work for each individual.
I am convinced the breath and the way we breathe can be relaxing. Coping with one day at a time also a key issue for me and works a treat. Thank you for sharing this book recommendation
Well as there were many things in the first few chapters that resonated with me I thought I can not be on my own here. I discovered that I too had a chimp that needed training.
When I was training we called it the noisy Parrot on our shoulder. I often asked clients to draw their parrot and to notice how it could also use it’s talons to dig in as well as words. Befriend you enemy as it has a purpose - just needs training so it doesn’t get unruly.
