I have been under a lot more stress then usual this week, family issues. I am on atenolol which has always worked well for me up until this week. I seem to be having more episodes of ist, pvcs and pacs then I normally do. Even if you are taking your medication regularly can increase chronic stress make you have these episodes again ? I just find this week my heartrate is staying up even with the meds, not extremely high around 110 at rest but with my meds it usually stays around 70-80 at rest. Can new stress cause this ?

Absolutely. I have a small supply of Valium or whatever it's called nowadays, which I use very occasionally in such situations. But they're addictive so only take as and when and never repeat for some time. Maybe something else could help if only to get a good nights sleep?
I hope you get your problems sorted, that would be better than drugs!

Stress and anxiety are triggers for ectopics for me - and worrying about having them makes them worse. Controlled breathing can help - I hope your worries are temporary and things return to normal soon.

If your heart is going over 100 bpm when you're completely at rest, even with atenolol, I think you should get your doc to check for an over-active thyroid gland or other possible cause.
