With the ablation coming up in a few days one of the things that interested me in finding the right doctor's was how important there expertise was in this procedure in doing my research it was much more important in this particular procedure getting the right doctor of course in any procedure it is important to get the best Doctor you can get, but in this particular procedure it just seems that the experience and the quality of the doctor is the most important for a successful ablation

Couldn’t agree more.....I’m sure your EP will be a star!

Yes, I agree, Euve.

In my experience, it's been important to keep looking to find that fit.

I can see now that the fear and anxiety I've felt at different times in the past 2 years, that I had attributed to AF itself, was more accurately signs of a bad fit with a doc. And also physical symptoms that were later cleared up when I quit taking the meds at the dosages they were insisting on and started healing underlying health issues.

The bottom line is that the heart knows if the fit is right or if it's wrong and I believe that it will let us know one way or another.

Finding someone with the expertise is half the battle, I would add that you need to be confident with them too. I gelled with my EP instantly, great way of talking to me, explaining things and is great at short circuiting the system to get things done.

My cardiologist however, despite being regarded as one of the best in the UK has terrible communication, I don't feel like I am being listened too, and would not like him to operate on me

I had the same question as I saw that some did the cyro and most did RF, from speaking to Doc's who did both they told it was more important about the experience than the method used.

I have found a Doc who does several hundred a year and I am very confident in his ability
