Just an update I had a significant spike in my blood pressure yesterday, but after researching this apparently it is common due to the drugs they give you and the saltwater that is used. Has anyone else suffered this reaction. Thankfully my BP is now going down but I wish they would warn you of these things as they can make you anxious.

BP after ablation
It might also have something to do with the fact that even though you don't have a big zip up your chest, your heart has been severely assaulted. Be kind to yourself and be patient. Expect the unexpected and relax.
Yes I keep telling myself that and reminding myself not to overdo it and have patience. I do not want to ruin everything I have worked for the last three years just because I am rushing things. I was to go on a daytrip next Wednesday but have now cancelled it. I can go next year.
For the first week, my BP was all over the map. Then it calmed down. If it goes really high and stays there, seek medical advice or go to the ER.
I had my ablation a week ago. I fortunately have had no blood pressure issues in fact I’ve had no issues at all with my heart other than the first day I had a little bit of what I think were PVCs for maybe three minutes but other than that silence. I had no idea they use salt water that’s very interesting. I hope you get to feeling better yes take it easy the daytrip can wait until next year!
The only time my BP goes through the roof 180/85 is when is see my EP. He suggested it might be caused by Ventricular Hypertrophy which in turn raised my anxiety and did nothing for my Afib.
Visited my GP for a recheck and it was back in a health range.
I had a 2nd PVI ablation yesterday and my BP was 137/80 on last check, one or two bag of saline I think so about a litre.
As you probably know there’s lots of influence on BP and in my case worrying about it makes it worse.
