breathlessness after ablation
Should do Mary.....but it will take at least 3 to 6 months for the heart to heal fully and I'm afraid you should spoil him rotten for the at least 2 weeks after the procedure.....no lifting and only very light duties, like pressing the buttons on the remote!!! The hospital may not mention this, but he may experience some blips during the 3 to 6 months period and this is fairly normal. If they don't tell you on discharge, ask for a point of contact, such as Arrythmia Nurse just incase you need any advice prior to your review appointment....hope it goes well, and please let us know how he gets on......John
thank you. will keep you informed .
Hi John!
I certainly agree that he should be pampered for at least the next six months really. I mean one has to have time to fully recover from this ordeal.
Breakfast in bed, gown and slippers ready upon rising, a nice hot bath run, if appointments have to be attended then the car should be warmed up so the heating is at the right temperature to minimise uncomfortableness. I nice roast should be on the table waiting at night with all the trimmings..........uh oh! My wife is threatening me.......I better stop here. 😊
I hope you all had a smile 🙏
Not quite so simple. Hopefully it will eventually, but it may take up to 3 months for the full benefit.
The other thing is to look for other causes of breathlessness
Mary, just another thought.....if Chris is on medication, this may cause breathlessness to continue, but hopefully, dosage may be reduced or even stopped by his EP......all the best, John
