Has anyone else developed SVT after ablation for AFIB? Had ablation done a month ago for afib. Heart Rate has jumped to always above 100 and EKG now shows SVT. No AFIB at this point. Doc says cardioversion needed and probably ablation again to stop SVT. Anyone else run into this?
Pretty depressing.

Thanks for the reply Paul. I too am having more problems with the SVT. In next Thurs for Cardioversion and subsequent (after healing from original ablation) ablation again. Getting real tired of this.
My new cardiologist has suggested this might be what I’m experiencing too. He said it does sometimes happen after an afib ablation and can sometimes be fixed by another ablation. From doing my own research, I knew this, but my former doctor had never mentioned it after he did 2 ablations. That’s why he is now history! Don’t give up hope! Sounds like your doc knows what they’re doing.
