PVA following ablation of SVT

Hello, I am 5 weeks post ablation for SVT and keep having skippy and fluttery heartbeats. Kardia has recovered them as premature venticular contractions and wondered if anyone else had this? Will I need a further ablation to sort these out?

Anyone had them and they disappeared?

Ectopics like PVC's quite normal during the 90 day "blanking" period post ablation. Nothing to be concerned about.

Thanks Jim, hard not to worry when the heart does a little dance 😆

As long as it's the "two step" (ectopics) you should be fine. If it starts doing the jitterbug (afib), not so fine, but still not unusual during blanking.

Haha how long does the jitterbug go on for? They have been mainly the two step, but had a run of a little disco the other day.

Rpxy: but had a run of a little disco the other day.

If it was anything like this, I might notify your ep.

I had similar thing after ablation particularly at night or when I lay down. EP said it was ectopic beats. I am now nearly 5 months post ablation and it has nearly gone altogether. Maybe one or two extra beats when I lay down if anything and then it settles. So hard to to worry though especially after going through the ablation. Hope it settles soon.

Oh that is reasurring that yours is settling down. It is definately unerving, it happens quire a few times a day but I suppose it is still early days in the recovery.

I had ectopic beats a lot , after my ablation in September, for over 5 months. I took an ECG of them , with my portable EMAY ECG monitor and showed the tracings to the Doctor, when I went for my follow -up appointment last month and he said they were nothing to worry about and everyone gets them. They only happen very occasionally now, so I’m sure yours will improve before too long.

Aww that is reasurring to know your doc wasn't concerned about them. I will try and chill and hopefully they will settle down in time.

I hope your ablation is successful and your SVT stays away. In had SVT and AFib and the ablation was for both of them, so hope I don’t get them again.
