I haven't posted for a while been trying to not think about the heart for while or read anything gets me thinking of it all. I got the call yesterday from freeman hospital, with an ablation procedure date for the 12th. Been 8 months in coming and now the nerves set in . At 52 they said there is a good chance that it will be of some success. Any tips or advice grateful , I know rest for first week is imperative, is the stairs possible or best to have a bed downstairs for the first week or so? .

The best advice we can offer is to suggest you read these two fact sheets. If you want to know more, just ask. Best of luck and please let us know how you get on.....
I had no problems at all with stairs and you're only 52 so should hardly be a concern.
I know that you should not overdo things but just be sensible. So no running or weight lifting. Spoil yourself for the first week ( that's if no one else will !)
