Sotalol and Milk

Does anyone know if Sotalol interact with milk or other daily product? I have read somewhere that it does but when I asked the pharmacist if there is anything (food) that I should not take with Sotalol she told me no. Thanks.

I was on Sotalol for about 15 months and had milk and dairy products without any issues

I didn't have any issues with milk when I was on Sotalol. Have never heard of there being an interaction.

I had no problems taking Sotalol with milk you probably read that Flecainide shouldn't be taken with milk as it reduces absorption

Hiya SpritzerAce, I am in Australia, so a different pharmaceutical regime here. I’m on Sotalol since October and was specifically told by my pharmacist not to take the medication with milk. In other words, not to wash it down with milk. Also told to try to take at least 30 minutes before eating. The listed information with the drug (called Consumer Medicine Information here and compiled by drug manufacturer) expressly says not to take with milk. Hope that helps. Peace ✌️
