Hi, just a couple of questions....Does anyone on Sotalol get sleep disturbances? Not only do I wake periodically in the night but I never seen tired and struggle to get to sleep, when I do I have awful dreams. I used to be such a good sleeper!

Q2 - anyone had any bright red blood from the bottom ( sorry) I have a very small amount on occasions and my doctor has examined me and can't see or feel anything and a FIT stool test has come back negative. I have read that apixaban can cause this

I have been on Sotalol for a year now, usually can get off to sleep initially but wake up frequently and struggle to get back to sleep, have many bad dreams and nightmares. Following a recent successful cardioversion, the Sotalol dose was halved and I have seen a reduction in the nightmares.

Thank you. I thought this may be a possibility, I intend to discuss it with my EP at my next review

I think beta blockers in general have a bad reputation when it comes to dreams! Mine are often extremely bizarre and sometimes frightening.

Yes I do! I take 80 mg twice a day (8:30 am and pm)

It's awful isn't it? I dread going to bed now 😔

It certainly is. I have used Ambien (Zopedin) 5 mg prescribed (limited supply) by my family doctor, and when I take one, I sleep quite well, with little or no nightmares.
