Thank you all for you good will messages. I'm home again looking like a victim of the Somme with a huge bandage round my head . If they had made it is bit lower I could audition for the Invisible Man. Stiches out next Friday in time for the family wedding. All for an 8mm rodent ulcer (basal cell carcinoma) above my right eyebrow. I do hope they haven't left me looking like Roger Moore. lol 😁

I get these all the time Bob and have had numerous ones cut out over the last 20 years. Last one in July was the squamous type on my thigh and I have a 2inch scar there now (they hurt like hell, so you'll know if you get one of those). I can't understand why you have a bandage around your head, they usually just put a dressing on. Or at least they did when I had the one on my forehead removed two years ago. Did you let it get really big, or did you need a skin transplant?

Please take care in future because if you can spot them early there are several chemo type creams you can use that will get rid of them without too much bother, or scarring.

Have they told you to put Vaseline on it once the dressing is off?

Hope you heal well.

There is a huge pressure pad because of warfarin. Can take it off in the morning.

That's interesting, my INR just had to be under 3. They must think you're a bleeder, Bob. Lol.

Be distinguished with scar. I had pressure pad after hernia and a faceplant on the pavement. Shows they care!!!

We have a permanent booking with the local dermatology surgeon.....on first name terms! as a result of husbands numerous, too numerous, basel cell cancers on his head. I wish you a good recovery Bob and hope yours is a first and last experience of a bonze lump.

Considering the carcinogenic nature of many of the chemicals I have used in my fifty five years plus of motor sport I'm amazed I am still here! Some of the fuels and additives were particularly nasty. I'm sure this one started with a splash of some alluminium cleaner.

Glad to hear you are home and doing well. I live in Florida and every time I go to the derm, he takes a piece of me off! I am curious as to what he will do this year, since I am on Eliquis. Enjoy your holidays!

Sorry you have been thru a tough time. I sympathize, had one on my lower eyelid. I have been off for a while, took my trip to get 3 month checkup after ablation. Doc says I sound good. Told them about the breathing exercises not sure they took me seriously...said oh well whatever works for you. Thanks again bob. Speedy recovery!!

I hope you recover soon. It was good that they took extra care because of the warfarin.

Prefer Roger Moore to Harry Potter any day!

That’s great Bob, my husband had one removed from the top of his (bald) head last year and it was huge but you can hardly see a thing now. They are so good at these things these days. Hope the ticker has settled and the wedding goes well.

Did they give you a pirate mask and a parrot to go with it - "who's a pretty boy ". Probably caused by using tricoethylene to freshen up. all the best

I doesn’t matter what you look like at the wedding. The important thing is that you will be there. A friend had cancer and the chemo made her bald but she refused to wear a wig cos it was uncomfortable. She said to me β€˜I don’t care what strangers think and my friends love me as I am’, which is quite true!

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Bob!
