Back home from Ablation

Morning all, I got home late last night from from my cryo ablation at St Barts. They gave me transport to and from as I was struggling with that aspect which was brilliant. Had a bit of an issue with low blood pressure afterwards but I do tend to suffer with fairly low blood pressure anyway. I don’t feel too bad just a constant ache in my chest like I’ve been kicked. The EP seems really pleased with how it went and is expecting good results and has taken me off the bisoprolol. It’s my sons 8th birthday today so planning a nice chilled day with hubby doing all the running around 😁

Well done, had my ablation 3 months and touch wood feel brilliant, no AF episodes, back to three 2 hourly sessions at the gym. Plenty of rest first 6 weeks then slowly back to normal. Good luck 😀

Pleased to hear all went well. Don't try to do too much now and get plenty of rest. Your poor heart has taken a bit of a battering and needs time to heal.

Best wishes for a full recovery.

Glad all went well. Just to reiterate, do very little and rest, rest, rest. As Jean says your heart has taken a battering. Enjoy your sons birthday and nothing more energetic than singing Happy Birthday. x

Thankyou for all your good wishes and advice, I plan to spend the next couple of weeks resting. My company are letting me work from home so no commuting and can work at my own pace and next week I’m on holiday. Fingers crossed 🤞 the ablation has worked

Good luck going forward. I had ablation late 2018. Any advice? Listen to your body. Take it easy for 6 weeks but this doesn't stop you doing short walks daily. Best decision I made and so far my quality of life is on the up.What a pleasure to drop Bisopropol. Awful side effects in my case.

Good luck for your recovery and enjoy the rest. I'm another Barts Cryo patient just 3 weeks ahead of you and still taking things very easy.
