Are we talking travel insurance or life insurance? Life is unlikely but funeral expenses insurance needs no medical question so as long as you last the first year you are covered I am told.
Travel insurance I'm sure lots people have advice.
Life Assurance extremely unlikely. If possible would be exorbitant.
If for travel insurance go to the Atrial Fibrillation, Association website. Under the Patients section search for Travel Insurance. They list a comparison website called something like Medical insurance compared. Use that as your starting point.
Over-50s life insurance involves no medical questions and non-disclosure of any condition does not affect it. It costs more than standard life insurance for the same payout but isn't too extortionate - £20 pcm gets you a £3,500 payout {at 67 years) after 12 months paying in (some companies say 2 years). I got mine through Age Concern UK.
Wow my policy is worth £6300 providing I last a full 12 months from signing for £20 a month with Legal and General. Huge difference and mine too was a no questions asked!
I used to use Tokio Marine travel insurance, but I'm not sure if they have now gone more commercial. They were very good when I had my brain tumour. Now having had an ablation
I go with flexicover and you actually get to speak with real people!!!!! However they will only cover me for Europe.
Good luck.
