A stinking Summer Cold
It certainly can bring on AF, or make it worse, I’m sorry to say, Glad 😕 (But it doesn’t necessarily affect it.) How are you feeling? X
Hello Jane, I don't feel too bad, my nose 👃is not so stuffed up but was so surprised to read us with AF must 👎not use Vick Sticks. A bit breathless with chest congestion but fingers crossed my old piterpater is not playing up Alas my hubby and I must forgo our visit to Portsmouth, we don't fancy crawling around on Nelson's Poop Deck tomorrow lol. I am so glad that the weather is cooler in Aylsbury Bucks where we live I could not bear that heat much longer. I am 80 my hubby 75 and we have been married for 56yrs . I think this heart trouble must have started 7yrs ago when our only son suffered a sudden unexpected fatal heart attack my shock was so great. We do have two lovely daughters, 3 granddaughters, 1great-granddaughter, 2 grandsons and 1 great -grandson. Well I am just going to read a little of my e/book , good night Jane thank you for your kind concern. Cheers Gladie. xx.
I've always used Vick sticks, how did you find out they shouldn't be used?
Jean
Oh how dreadful to lose your son that way, Gladie, I’m so sorry 😢 The shock and loss must have had a tremendous impact on you.
Sorry you’re still feeling grot- wise decision to cancel your visit. Sadly Nelson must wait... Hope you feel better soon in this (thankfully!) cooler weather xxx
Thank you for your kind thoughts, yes our Ray's death was a great sorrow to us , he was only 48 his birthday was 19th May so we will never forget Prince Harry's Wedding Anniversary lol. I feel a little better today thank you, mind you I have been quite lazy and rested a lot lucky me. Cheers Gladie.xx
Hi Gladie
Nothing worse than a summer cold and any infection will set off mine!
You do have to be very careful about what OTC meds you take with AF.
Look after yourself and get well soon. Best wishes CD.
Hope you are feeling better today Gladaven I think colds can feel worse when the weather is hot and you feel feverish, there is no relief.
I think when you have AF anything can affect it, imagine your body trying to fight two battles at one time to stay healthy, not an easy task.
Hope you're feeling better today. I had 2 nasty chest colds recently. Have had an ablation so, knock on wood, the afib wasn't affected by the cold, thankfully. I had not heard of the Vick issue with afib. Good to know. (I did use LOTS of Vicks with my colds... both on the chest and in the nose.)
