Heart rate after 2nd ablation
I’m not a doctor. I had my ablation 3 weeks ago. According to my EP, there are all kinds of little hiccups that occur as the heart heals. He says it will take 3 months or so for everything to settle down. I’m experiencing some variability in my rate, too. Chalk it up to the healing process. Take it easy!
My heart rate increased by 10bpm after my ablation. It has been 10 months since my ablation and it is now back to normal.
Elevated heart rate after ablation is quite normal.
Yes, it's normal for this to happen after an ablation. Please go to this AF Association link below and scroll to the info Recovering from Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation:

Hi I had my ablation in April this year and like you I’m waking up with elevated HR sometimes around 112-120 bpm!! I can’t get out of bed till it settles sometimes it’s below 100bpm I’m usually really low I had ablation for atrial flutter; they seem to be gone this far I had a pacemaker check at my post op assessment and it hadn’t recorded any episodes of AF or AFL do it’s been given the thumbs up as a success. But my BP is extremely low since ablation do now awaiting appointments to see 2 specialists one who deals with very low BP and the other a specialist who investigates Adrendal glands I’ve got to have a shot synchechen test to test the hormones that regulate BP. And just when I thought I was sorted
But back to question in hand I believe following ablation higher HR can happen but should settle I thinks they call it the healing process but obviously if it goes too high and too fast and in particular if it goes irregular then seek advice. Good luck and all the best.
