This isn't strictly AF but...

Since my afib ablation on Feb. 28, I have passed every heart test there is but still have a lot of chest pain. Yesterday, I had an MRI and CT scan of abdomen. MRI revealed nothing but a stiff neck. CT scan was more problematic. All doctor's secretary would say was I need to stop Eliquis right away and schedule a colonoscopy for next week. No other news. Anyone ever have anything similar?

Any time someone says a test shows a stiff neck and you also have heart issues, then my experience tells me you need to at least have a chiropractor ( a nerve doctor) look at. your neck and back most likely.

I don't have experience on your other problem but look at the post below this one.

If you go to a chiropractor, show this person the CT and MRI scans if you can get them.

Thank goodness they did the tests! No matter what has happened to anyone else - it does sound as though your situation is being taken seriously and thoroughly investigated. Do let us know how you got on and I think it is AF related - well to the meds you take for the AF anyway, Best wishes

PS - I agree with Engmac about the Chiro but the other issue maybe more of a priority for you right now.

I take a lot of meds - lisinopril, sotalol, imdur, lipitor - all for my heart. Plus, celexa for anxiety, dexilant for reflux and up until this week, ambien for sleeping. It adds up. They took me off Eliquis while they examine GI issue.

Well for those who are interested, colonoscopy revealed four polyps, which were all removed. Two benign and two pre-cancerous. Come back in five years. Back on Eliquis this morning.
