Many thanks to all of you who replied to my post .... they have all been extremely helpful and somewhat reassuring.... which is really all I was looking for .... just a pity I couldn’t have got that from my Anaesthetist... been in for my pre op checks today and all well ( obviously the ECG showed up as normal... doesn’t it always ?)

So looks like I’ll be wearing my brave socks next week and going ahead !!!
