Mind the dementors don't get you. Seriously ignoring the typo do you mean that you want to take apixaban on an ad hoc basis. This is not a good idea. If you need anticoagulation (which is what apixaban is) it should be all the time to prevent stokes..

sounds like a good plan.

Are you aware that Naproxen can cause irregular heartbeat ?

And as Naproxen is also an 'NSAID' it can contribute to bleeding. Not a good idea to take when also taking anticoagulants. Ask your cardiac doctor. For me, Aleve (naprosyn) has always been a great med for pain relief. Since I have muscle aches and pains from time to time I hated to give them up. Spoke with my EP and he said best not to take them but if I REALLY need some pain relief VERY OCCASIONALLY-like every 3-4 weeks (not more often) I could take a dose. I only use them when my pains are bad, I can't stay home and take hot showers or baby myself, then I will take a dose to get thru the day and get done what I need to. If I have plans I can change I do that first, stay home, and skip the Aleve. irina1975

I am on anticoagulants and have told to stay off naproxen and ibuprofen. I can only take paracetamol and codeine.

I just take paracetamol for pain as the NAISD are not good with Apixaban- but you must be guided by your doctors

as well as naproxen being pretty much a no no because of taking anticoagulants , NSAIDS are know to be triggers to AF.

and did you ever meet Sirius Black in Azkaban. :D
